Sports PR Final Assignment
For our final project, a classmate and I created a campaign event for USA Gymnastics to try and gain back the support and trust of gymnasts across the nation. With many questioning their safety with USA Gymnastics after Larry Nassar, we created this campaign event to bring gymnasts from across the nation together to help build that goodwill and trust back within the community.
Gender Issues in Sport Final Assignment
For my final project in my Gender Studies class, the students were tasked with building a campaign for one issue we had learned about throughout the course of the semester. I focused on body image issues and the problems that can lead to among athletes. My idea was to create a documentary that highlighted famous professional athletes and how they overcame their own body image issues.
Advanced Sport Reporting
For this project, I contacted a local female sport broadcaster in the Greensboro area, Clara Goodwin, to ask her questions about her job and her experiences as a female sport reporter in a male dominated field. It was interesting to hear her perspective, and also great to get to know her personally!
